Vice President - Bids

ProSource Group are working with a large scale contractor who are growing in the Data Centre Sector in Europe, Middle East & Africa. The successful candidate will be reporting To Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer.
The VP of Bids is responsible for leading, governing, and optimising the bid, tender, and pre-construction function for large-scale data centre projects across the Middle East & Africa. The role ensures the business submits competitive, compliant, and commercially robust bids, aligned with strategic growth objectives and risk appetite.
This position plays a critical leadership role in work-winning strategy, early client engagement, bid governance, and handover to delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the MEA bid strategy for data centre projects (hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical facilities).
• Establish and enforce bid governance frameworks, stage-gates, approvals, and risk reviews.
• Partner with executive leadership to align bidding activity with regional growth strategy, market selection, and margin targets.
• Provide clear go / no-go recommendations based on commercial, technical, and risk assessment.
• Lead bid strategy workshops, win themes, and differentiators for mechanical & MEP packages.
• Drive competitive positioning against regional and international contractors.
• Represent the company in high-level client presentations and commercial negotiations.
• Build a high-performance bid culture, driving accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
• Identify talent gaps and support succession planning across the MEA bid function.
• Ensure seamless handover from bid to project delivery teams.

Experience & Background Essential:

• 10+ years’ experience in bidding, estimating, or pre-construction within large Mechanical or MEP contracting organisations.
• Proven leadership experience at Director or VP level.
• Extensive data centre project experience (hyperscale, colocation, mission-critical).
• Demonstrable experience working across the Middle East & Africa.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical systems for data centres, Redundancy, resilience, and uptime requirements, Regional procurement models and contract forms (FIDIC, bespoke EPC, Design & Build)
• Track record of winning large, complex, high-value projects
