Trainee Accountant - Wicklow

ProSource is now recruiting for a Trainee Accountant seeking a role in County Wicklow. The employers are seeking a candidate who can support a finance team while studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare financial statements and year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, including support for audit assignments. 
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations. 
• Prepare and submit VAT returns while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. 
• Support payroll processing and related statutory filings, as well as personal and corporate tax compliance work. 
• Liaise with clients to obtain financial information, documentation and resolve accounting queries. 
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team and maintain accurate financial records across client accounts. 

Candidate requirements: 

• Degree, diploma or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline. 
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly excel. 
• Interest in pursuing a career in accountancy and obtaining a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
