Trainee Accountant - Westmeath

ProSource are now recruiting a Trainee Accountant to join an accountancy practice based in Westmeath. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their accounting career who is looking to gain hands on experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assisting with preparation of annual accounts for a range of clients. 
• Assisting with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns.
• Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounting duties.
• Supporting audit assignments and preparing working papers.
• Liaising with clients and assisting with day to day queries.
• Working closely with senior accountants across a varied client portfolio.

Requirements:

• Relevant third level qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Ideally 1+ years experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Interested in pursuing ACA or ACCA.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good IT and Excel skills.
