Tax Trainee - Dublin

Our client is seeking a motivated Tax Trainee to join their growing Dublin tax team. This is excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional environment while working towards a recognised tax qualification, such as the CTA with the Irish Tax Institute. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Assisted with the preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with Irish Tax regulations. 
• Supported senior team members on tax compliance, advisory, tax planning and year end compliance projects. 
• Conducted tax research, addressed technical tax queries, and monitored changes in Irish tax legislation and regulations. 
• Prepared Revenue correspondence, responded to client queries and liaised with clients, Revenue and professional advisors. 
• Assisted with VAT, PAYE, Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) compliance matters. 
• Maintained accurate client records, tax files and supporting documentation to ensure efficient tax administration.

Requirements: 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, Economics or a related discipline. 
• 1+ years experience in an accountancy practice, tax environment or relevant finance role. 
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. 
• A strong desire to pursue a professional tax qualification.
