Tax Senior Manager/ Director - Advisory (Midlands)

An Exciting Opportunity to Shape and Build a Growing Tax Function A progressive and highly regarded accountancy practice in the Midlands is seeking an ambitious Tax Senior Manager / Director to join its leadership team and play a key role in building and expanding its tax advisory offering.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced tax professional who enjoys working closely with entrepreneurial clients and owner-managed businesses, providing strategic advisory support rather than purely compliance-focused services. The successful candidate will have the ambition and commercial mindset to help grow a tax practice while progressing toward Partner level, with potential future equity involvement.

The Opportunity You will work closely with Partners, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals, advising on a broad range of complex tax matters. This role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the tax division.

Key advisory areas will include:

• Business sales and succession planning
• Restructuring and business transition to the next generation
• Capital taxes including Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT)
• Shareholder and owner-managed business advisory
• Corporate reorganisations and tax-efficient structuring
• Strategic tax planning for SMEs, family businesses, and entrepreneurs
• Support business development initiatives and help build a scalable tax function
• Mentor and support junior tax professionals as the team expands.

About You

Your Skills/Experience will include:

• Significant experience operating at Tax Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director level within practice + 5 years 
• Strong tax advisory experience, in areas noted above (see key advisory areas will include).
• A commercial mindset with an interest in helping grow a tax practice
• Strong relationship management and client-facing experience
• A proactive and entrepreneurial approach
