About the Role A rapidly growing and ambitious accountancy practice is seeking a Manager to join their SME Accounting & Advisory team. This is a key leadership position, responsible for managing a talented team, overseeing client relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery of accounting and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the SME Accounting & Advisory team (currently 12 members)
- Organise and oversee monthly workflow, ensuring timely delivery of:
- Financial Statements
- Management Accounts
- Corporation Tax and VAT
- Other accounting and advisory assignments
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members
- Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Monitor team KPIs and performance metrics, reporting to senior management
- Identify additional billing opportunities within the client portfolio
- Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards, firm policies, and deadlines
- Oversee time-sheet approvals and billing processes
- Collaborate with partners and management team to meet department objectives
Skills & Experience Required - ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified
- 4+ years PQE in Irish practice, with people management experience
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (IAS, FRS 102, IFRS, Auditing Standards)
- Knowledge of the Irish tax system; some audit experience preferred
- Excellent understanding of accounting software packages
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work within budgets
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality outcomes
