This role will suit a Site Engineer with strong setting out experience who enjoys being hands-on in a busy site environment. Setting out will be a big part of the role, supporting groundworks on large utility and residential schemes.
Key Responsibilities: - Carry out all setting out and surveying on site using GPS, total station and level.
- Support groundworks including earthworks, foundations, drainage, watermains, ducting and roads.
- Check levels, line and dimensions so works are built accurately to drawings.
- Coordinate daily with foremen, site crews and subcontractors.
- Review drawings and specifications, and raise RFIs or queries where needed.
- Keep accurate site records, including inspection and test plans, daily diaries and as-built surveys.
- Monitor progress and help with short-term planning of site activities.
- Make sure works meet project specifications and Health & Safety requirements.
- Work closely with the Senior Engineer and Project Manager to resolve technical issues.
Requirements: - Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Level 7/8).
- Minimum 2 years' site engineering experience.
- Strong setting out experience with GPS, total station and level (essential).
- Experience on utility, groundworks or residential projects preferred.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and site documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full Irish driving licence.
