ProSource are recruiting an SHEQ Advisor position on behalf of an industry-leading Main Building Contractor who are experiencing continued growth due to a number of recent project awards across Limerick and the wider Midwest region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable contractor with a strong pipeline of ongoing projects across multiple sectors including commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, and residential developments.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;
  • Provide SHEQ advice and support to project teams, site management, and subcontractors
  • Promote a positive SHEQ culture across all project activities
  • Undertake site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews in accordance with project audit plans
  • Monitor safety, environmental, and quality performance across site teams and subcontractors
  • Carry out investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO Management Systems and Safe-T-Cert accreditation
  • Issue NCRs where appropriate and monitor close-out of remedial actions
  • Report on SHEQ performance and make recommendations to continuously improve standards on site
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are being adhered to
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and SHEQ-related training initiatives
  • Assist project teams with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work
  • Gather SHEQ data and prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review
  • Support the effective delivery of defined SHEQ processes, procedures, standards, and systems
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as required
  • Ensure environmental controls and quality procedures are maintained in accordance with company standards

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;
  • Degree/Diploma in a related discipline
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and standards
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
