Setting Out Engineer

We are currently recruiting a skilled Site Engineer to join a a leading Civils and M&E contractor for a large civils power distribution project in the North Dublin region. This role will suit an ambitious engineer with at least 3 years' site experience, looking to take ownership of civil infrastructure and residential/large scale commercial and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and site supervisors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Providing technical support to site teams and contributing to problem-solving.
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders on site progress.
• Supporting project close-out, handover, and quality assurance procedures.
• Setting out, surveying, and ensuring accurate execution of works on-site.
• Managing site documentation including as-built drawings, RFIs, and daily records.
• Assisting in quality control, health and safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction-related field.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer role within the civil engineering or utilities sector.
• Strong setting out skills using GPS, robotic total stations.
• Bonus if you have expereince in setting out ducting projects within Ireland. 
• Proficient with IT tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, etc. 
• Sound knowledge of Irish construction regulations and building standards.
• Full clean driving licence essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
