Senior Tax Consultant

An established accountancy practice in Galway City is looking to add an experienced tax professional to its team.

The role will involve managing a varied portfolio of clients and handling a mix of tax compliance and advisory work. It would suit someone at Tax Senior or Tax Manager level. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns.
• Advise on CGT, CAT, VAT and Relevant Contracts Tax.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects.
• Deal directly with clients on tax queries and Revenue correspondence.
• Work on more complex tax assignments.
• Manage deadlines and ensure compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
• At least 2 years' PQE in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation.
• Experience across personal and corporate taxation.
• Good client management and communication skills.
• CTA qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
