Senior Structural Technician - Waterford

ProSource are looking for an experienced Senior BIM Technician to lead digital design delivery across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects. This role offers the opportunity to act as a BIM specialist, taking ownership of BIM processes and driving coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and contractors, playing a key role in delivering complex, large-scale projects while mentoring junior team members and shaping best practices.

The Role

• Develop high-quality 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit
• Lead BIM coordination, including clash detection and spatial coordination across disciplines
• Represent the project team at BIM coordination meetings with external stakeholders
• Take on the role of Appointed Party in line with ISO 19650 standards
• Implement and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver projects efficiently and accurately
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior BIM/Revit technicians
• Act as a key liaison with architects, consultants, and contractors
• Work within Common Data Environments (CDEs) to manage project information

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related discipline
• 8+ years’ experience in a similar BIM/Revit-focused role
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Experience producing high-quality renders (lighting, materials, high-resolution outputs)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building standards
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM best practices
• Experience working with Common Data Environments (CDEs)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
• Experience in Irish or UK projects is advantageous
