Senior Structural Engineer - Longford

A leading structural design consultancy with an exciting range of multi-disciplinary nationwide projects are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding Longford office.

The Role

• Lead the design and coordination of structural projects, managing inputs from junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective communication and project progress.
• Review and approve technical drawings and documentation prior to issue.
• Conduct site inspections and structural assessments as part of ongoing project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9000 quality management procedures across all project stages.
• Contribute to technical reviews and professional development 
• Mentor and junior staff, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.

Ideal Candidate

• 6+ years experience in an engineering design consultancy environment (3+ years Irish experience)
• Bachelors in Civil / Structural Engineering, or equivalent
• Chartered with Engineers Ireland, or actively pursuing chartership
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
• Competent working primarily on own initiative but also as part of team
• Full clean Irish driving licence
