Senior Structural Engineer - Limerick

*Salary: €75,000+ DOE*

ProSource are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to take a lead role in delivering complex structural projects with a leading Irish consultancy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chartered engineer who enjoys a balance of hands-on technical design, project leadership, and mentoring.
You’ll work on high-profile projects from concept through to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and directly engaging with clients.

The Role

• Lead structural design across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry in line with Eurocodes
• Review and approve calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Manage project delivery including programme, budget, and resourcing
• Coordinate with architects, civil, and M&E engineers to ensure integrated design
• Oversee BIM models (Revit/Navisworks) to maintain design coordination
• Prepare technical reports and present solutions to clients and stakeholders
• Support tender preparation, evaluation, and procurement processes
• Conduct site inspections, BCAR inspections, and certification support
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including Designer Risk Assessments
• Mentor and guide graduate and intermediate engineers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business growth
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent
• Degree-qualified (Level 8+) in Structural or Civil Engineering
• 12+ years’ experience in structural design within a consultancy environment
• Strong expertise in structural analysis and design principles
• Proven experience leading projects and technical teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness including budget and programme management
• Proficiency in tools such as Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, CADS A3D, Tedds, and MS Office
