Senior Resident Engineer - Kilkenny

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Resident Engineer / Project Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a major renewable energy project in the South-East. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a landmark sustainability project, ensuring successful coordination, quality, and execution across all disciplines.

Role

• Act as the client’s on-site representative, ensuring construction is delivered to the highest standards of design, quality, and safety.
• Lead and coordinate contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams across Civil, Structural, and M&E teams.
• Maintain full oversight of programmes, budgets, and resources, driving on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Chair site and progress meetings, preparing reports and updates for senior stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards throughout the project.
• Oversee testing, inspections, and approvals to ensure quality assurance across all project phases.
• Manage documentation, scheduling, and change control processes efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure, industrial, or energy construction projects; exposure to renewable energy projects highly desirable.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Proven expertise in construction management, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery.
• Strong proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar project management software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
