A well-established main building contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working on projects across North Dublin. With a strong pipeline of residential developments and continued growth in the region, this role offers long-term stability and the opportunity to work on high-quality housing schemes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, while also contributing to early-stage feasibility and budgeting for upcoming developments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to take on a senior position within a busy and expanding organisation.
  
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the Quantity Surveying and estimating process across residential projects.
  • Oversee cost management and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Manage procurement processes and develop strong supply chain relationships.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure quality and financial targets are achieved.
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks to project profitability.
  • Prepare payment applications, valuations, and cost reports.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and financial performance.
  • Report regularly to senior management on cost value reconciliation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role with a main contractor or developer.
  • Residential construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Full clean driver’s licence preferred.
Package
  • €80,000 – €90,000 DOE.
