Senior Quantity Surveyor

An established main building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Cork. The successful candidate will work across a strong pipeline of projects, with a particular focus on brownfield developments, aparthotels and student accommodation.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior commercial role within a busy contractor, with the potential to oversee and support a wider commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Manage project budgets, costs, valuations and variations.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation and payments.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Provide commercial guidance and support to junior members of the team.

Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Strong experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main building contractor.
• Experience working on brownfield developments, aparthotels or student accommodation would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration experience.
• Previous experience overseeing or managing a team would be a major advantage, but is not essential.

Package

• Salary: €85,000 – €100,000 DOE.
• Location: Cork.
• Strong pipeline of secured work.
