A well-established project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team based in Laois. With a strong pipeline of residential developments and a growing portfolio of projects across Ireland, the consultancy offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career within a supportive and ambitious business.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in the commercial delivery of residential developments while also gaining exposure to public sector and data centre projects as the consultancy continues to expand its client base. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking long-term progression within a growing consultancy.
Responsibilities
• Deliver cost management services across projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Manage procurement processes and subcontractor packages.
• Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Provide commercial advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports.
• Attend client and project meetings while managing key stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor junior members of the commercial team where required.
Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Previous consultancy experience is highly desirable.
• Strong residential project experience.
• Experience on public works and/or data centre projects would be advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
• Ambitious individual seeking long-term career progression.
Package
• €85,000 - €95,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Laois.
