A well-established main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team based in Cork City. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments, the company has built an impressive pipeline of upcoming work, particularly across complex brownfield developments throughout Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to secure a long-term role in Cork without the need to travel extensively. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major projects while benefiting from genuine career progression within an expanding contractor.
Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial aspects of residential and commercial construction projects from commencement through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure strong commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and implement effective cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Provide regular commercial reporting to senior management.
Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the Irish construction industry.
• Previous experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• Experience working on brownfield developments would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational abilities.
• Ambitious individual seeking long-term career progression.
Package
• Salary: €80,000 – €90,000 DOE.
