Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management and cost control of large-scale projects from inception through to completion.
  • Prepare detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and bills of quantities.
  • Manage procurement processes and provide strategic input on subcontractor selection and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee interim valuations, variations, and final accounts with accuracy and commercial insight.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and design teams on commercial matters.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, fostering professional development.
  • Ensure risk management and cost reporting adhere to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years’ experience within a consultancy or client-side QS role, managing diverse and complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, procurement routes, and commercial best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software and MS Office applications.
  • Chartered status with SCSI or RICS preferred, or actively working towards chartership.
  • Highly organised with excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
