Company Intro / Summary A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their office-based team in
Dublin. The company delivers large-scale infrastructure, utilities, and civil works projects to the highest standard. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead commercial position on significant civil engineering projects, working within a well-established and respected contractor.
Responsibilities - Manage all commercial aspects of multiple civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation.
- Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor negotiations.
- Monitor project costs, assess variations, and prepare interim valuations.
- Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors.
Requirements - Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with proven Irish civils experience essential.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent knowledge of civil engineering contracts and procurement methods.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software tools.
- Full Irish driving licence.
Package - Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 DOE
- Annual Leave: 21 days
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Benefits: Statutory sick pay, pension (auto-enrolment or facilitated if already set up), laptop, phone, company vehicle, and fuel card
- Full-time, permanent role with immediate start available
