This is a senior leadership role within a major civil engineering contractor, where you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple complex projects from concept through to final handover.
You will be the key link between the client and the delivery teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Full Project Accountability – Take ownership of project delivery from inception to completion, meeting safety, quality, programme, and budget targets.
- Safety & Quality Leadership – Maintain a zero-compromise approach to safety and ensure high-quality workmanship throughout.
- Planning & Delivery – Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource schedules, and contract administration processes.
- Commercial Oversight – Monitor and control costs, deliver against gross margin targets, and ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Stakeholder Management – Act as the main point of contact between the client, project team, and subcontractors, providing regular progress updates.
- Risk & Issue Management – Identify, assess, and resolve project risks and challenges in a timely manner.
- Design & Constructability – Review and assess the constructability of water and wastewater engineering solutions, working closely with engineering teams.
- Team Leadership – Lead and mentor Site Managers, Engineers, and project delivery teams to achieve project objectives.
- Reporting – Prepare accurate and timely progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration – Work closely with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, ICA, and H&S departments.
Requirements - Third-level qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (degree or diploma).
- Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering large-scale civil engineering or utilities infrastructure projects.
- Experience in water/wastewater networks and/or Irish Water standard projects (advantage).
- Background in underground utilities, cabling, civils, or power infrastructure beneficial.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and design teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, schedules, and risk.
