Senior Practice Accountant - Dublin

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services while supporting junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports for clients
• Assist clients with budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and business advisory matters
• Prepare and review corporation tax, income tax, and VAT returns
• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact
• Liaise with Revenue, banks, and other third parties on behalf of clients
• Support and mentor trainee/junior accountants
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist with practice development and identify opportunities to add value to clients

Requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified or qualified by experience
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong experience in accounts preparation and taxation
• Experience managing client relationships and deadlines
• Knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations
• Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Surf
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Audit experience advantageous but not essential
• Experience working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and farmers beneficial
• Strong commercial awareness and advisory mindset
