Company Overview

My client are a well established Irish residential developer delivering high-quality homes and developments across Ireland. With an expanding portfolio of residential projects, they are continuing to grow its development team and is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Consultant to support the planning and delivery of its residential development pipeline.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Consultant with a strong background in residential development and the Irish planning system.
This is a senior position working closely with the development team, external consultants and planning authorities. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing planning matters across residential schemes and will be capable of working independently.
The position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with travel and meetings required as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning strategies for residential development projects.
• Manage planning applications from feasibility through to submission and decision.
• Liaise with local authorities, planning authorities, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate external planning consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide planning advice throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify planning risks, opportunities and potential constraints.
• Support site acquisition and development feasibility assessments.
• Manage planning conditions, appeals and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare and review planning submissions and supporting documentation.
• Monitor changes to planning legislation, policy and guidance.
• Provide senior planning input into our wider development strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years' professional planning experience.
• Significant residential development experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish planning system.
• Experience managing planning applications for residential developments.
• Understanding of the wider residential development process.
• Strong stakeholder and consultant management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Relevant planning qualification/professional accreditation.
