Role Overview - Champion best practice in health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) standards, working closely with the SHQE team.
- Gather, interpret, and present information clearly to communicate scope, methodology, and sequencing to wider project teams.
- Develop fully resourced programmes and review outputs to ensure alignment with project requirements and expectations.
- Support the maintenance of programme risk registers and carry out schedule risk analysis.
- Produce visual planning and methodology material to support proposed construction approaches.
- Prepare and maintain resource schedules for internal and client reviews.
- Support the coaching, mentoring, and training of team members.
- Develop bid and tender programmes and contribute to tender query logs and planning inputs.
- Define construction methodologies and productivity outputs in collaboration with estimators, project teams, and the supply chain.
- Contribute to written tender submissions and supporting documentation.
- Participate in bid reviews and project handovers, clearly communicating programme strategy and delivery approach.
- Work with estimating and project teams to identify reporting requirements and support feedback processes.
Candidate Profile - Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning and Project Controls within construction or engineering.
- Strong background in civil engineering contracting, ideally within the water sector.
- Demonstrated experience using a range of planning techniques for both tendering and live project delivery.
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
- Strong IT skills, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
