Senior Planner

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a well-regarded, planning-led, multi-disciplinary practice in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone with strong town planning and development management experience who wants to progress within a supportive and reputable environment.
  
You will work on a wide range of private-sector planning applications, leading projects through feasibility, pre-planning, application, appeals and post-consent stages. The position suits a planner who understands the Irish planning system, can manage complex submissions and enjoys collaborating closely with design and development teams.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning applications, development management submissions, planning reports, statements and supporting documentation
• Carry out development feasibility reviews and site appraisals in line with Irish planning legislation
• Provide expert input on zoning, policy compliance, material contraventions, EIAR screening and strategic planning matters
• Coordinate with architects, urban design teams and environmental specialists to deliver robust planning strategies
• Engage with planning authorities, clients and stakeholders throughout the planning process
• Mentor and support junior colleagues

  
What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience in Irish town planning and the development management process
• Track record delivering private-sector planning applications across residential, mixed-use or commercial schemes
• Confident understanding of planning legislation, directives, development plans and local authority processes
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to prepare high-quality planning reports
• Professional accreditation such as MIPI or MRTPI, or working towards chartership
