Senior Mechanical Estimator

A well-established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their team in Dublin. With a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland and Europe, the company delivers high-quality mechanical services on a wide range of complex and technically demanding developments.
  
This is a senior opportunity offering involvement in both domestic and European projects, with occasional travel required. The role also offers flexible working arrangements, making it ideal for an experienced estimator seeking both career progression and improved work-life balance.
  
Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of mechanical tenders across multiple projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop tender strategies.
• Support senior management with bid reviews and commercial decisions.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and supply chain partners.

  
Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a mechanical estimating role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical services, including HVAC and pipework systems.
• Experience pricing projects across Ireland or Europe is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders.

  
Package

• €80,000 – €100,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position.
• Flexitime and hybrid working options available.

• Occasional travel required.
