Senior Mechanical Engineer - South Dublin

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to a range of high-profile projects in various sectors. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical design and engineering, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure project success.

€65k - €75k salary (depending on experience) with an excellent benefits package (pension scheme, flexible working, health insurance, gym membership)

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead the mechanical services design and specification for various building types in Ireland and EMEA.
• Provide fully detailed tender packages / tender reports / analysis / recommendations
• Establish and enhance mechanical design standards within the organisation.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Oversee installation quality on-site.
• Provide technical analysis, reports, and recommendations.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to ensure project alignment.
• Independently manage projects with minimal supervision.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Education: Honours degree in a relevant field - Mechanical/Building Services (Chartered status is advantageous but not essential)
• Location: Must be based in Ireland
• Experience: Minimum of 6+ years in mechanical building services design across Industrial, High-Tech, Commercial, or Healthcare projects
• Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT (preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Project Management: Experience in liaising with clients, architects, and project managers, as well as overseeing project scope, budgets, and timelines
