Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Dublin City

ProSource Group is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a large multidisciplinary consultancy to join its growing Building Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on high-profile projects, mentor junior staff, and deliver innovative, sustainable design solutions across a range of sectors.

The Role As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Design and specify mechanical engineering systems for buildings in line with current standards and regulations.
• Work directly with clients to define requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
• Lead and coordinate project design teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Oversee pre-construction activities, including drawings, specifications, and equipment details.
• Manage construction-stage support, including site inspections, submittals, and RFIs.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, helping them achieve technical excellence.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in mechanical/building services design (drainage, HVAC, BMS, heating, cooling, ventilation, water services).
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE Codes, IS/EN Standards.
• Experienced in client, vendor, and contractor interaction.
• Skilled communicator and team leader with excellent attention to detail.
• Chartered Engineer (or working towards Chartership).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and IES (advantageous but not essential).
• Positive, proactive “can-do” attitude.
