Senior Estimator

A leading Tier One Main Building Contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its pre-construction team based in Cork. Renowned for delivering some of Ireland's most high-profile construction projects, the company continues to secure a strong pipeline of residential and commercial developments, offering long-term stability and excellent career progression.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Estimator to play a key role in securing major projects while working alongside an experienced pre-construction team. The successful candidate will be involved in high-value tenders across both the residential and commercial sectors, contributing to the continued success of one of Ireland's most respected contractors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare accurate pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks during the tender process.
• Work closely with commercial, design, and operational teams to develop competitive bids.
• Attend tender review meetings and present commercial recommendations.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Support the continued growth of the business through successful tender delivery.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Estimating or Quantity Surveying role.
• Previous experience pricing residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and tendering procedures.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while managing multiple tenders.

Package

• Salary: €80,000 – €90,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Cork.
