Senior Engineer / Site Agent

This role will suit an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in road or infrastructure projects who is comfortable taking ownership of site delivery, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works remain on programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for engineering and day-to-day delivery of designated sections of the project.
• Coordinate engineers, site crews, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Oversee setting out, surveying and technical requirements across the works.
• Monitor progress against programme and assist with short-term planning of site activities.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction information, raising RFIs where required.
• Maintain strong quality control and ensure accurate site, inspection and as-built records.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team to resolve technical and programme issues.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and Health & Safety requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders as required.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline essential (Level 7/8).
• Minimum 5 years' experience working on civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience within road construction, highways or major infrastructure projects preferred.
• Previous experience operating at Senior Engineer, Site Agent or similar level.
• Strong setting out and technical engineering knowledge.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing sections of work independently.
• Good understanding of quality procedures, construction programmes and site documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Full Irish driving licence.
