The role will involve taking responsibility for several smaller projects and work locations at the same time, ensuring site teams are coordinated, programmes remain on track and works are delivered safely and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple water main projects across Donegal.
- Coordinate site crews, engineers, subcontractors, plant and materials across different work locations.
- Plan upcoming works and ensure labour and resources are available in line with programme requirements.
- Monitor project progress, costs and key delivery dates.
- Provide technical support to site teams and assist with resolving engineering issues.
- Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
- Coordinate water main installation, connections, testing, reinstatement and associated civil works.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, residents and other project stakeholders where required.
- Manage project documentation, progress reporting, RFIs and quality records.
- Work closely with the commercial team on costs, variations and subcontractor requirements.
- Ensure Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained across all sites.
- Oversee projects through construction, completion and handover.
Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Must have 5-7 years experience minimum within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience delivering water mains, utilities, pipelines or similar linear infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
- Experience managing multiple sites, crews or smaller projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of site engineering and construction delivery.
- Good programme planning and commercial awareness.
- Confident managing clients, subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
- Full Irish driving licence and flexibility to travel between projects throughout Donegal.
