Senior Electrical Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy delivering M&E design projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, conservation, and public sectors. The successful candidate will lead electrical design activities, support project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high technical and client service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development of electrical design solutions from initial concept through to project completion.
• Conduct site surveys of existing electrical installations and prepare technical reports and assessments.
• Prepare and coordinate electrical building services designs, including:
  • Power distribution systems
  • Lighting and emergency lighting systems
  • Small power installations
  • Mechanical services wiring

Requirements
Essential

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience delivering electrical design solutions across a range of project sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Irish regulations, industry standards, and IS10101 requirements.
• Proven ability to mentor and support junior engineers while coordinating project teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging directly with clients.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software and BIM-enabled project environments.

Desirable

• Chartered Engineer status or progression towards chartership.
• Experience in sustainable building design, energy-efficient solutions, and emerging technologies.
