Senior Electrical Engineer - Limerick

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading building services consultancy to join their Limerick office. This hybrid role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring teams, and driving best-in-class electrical design across a wide variety of building sectors.
As a senior member of the electrical team, you’ll influence technical strategy, uphold quality standards, and play a key role in delivering innovative, energy-efficient engineering solutions.

The Role

In this position, you will take ownership of full electrical design delivery across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and exceptional client care.
You will:

• Lead and manage electrical design on projects of all sizes, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Oversee quality control for electrical engineering deliverables across multiple offices.
• Manage project costs, budgets, team performance, and overall project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support cross-office coordination.
• Conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and represent the consultancy at project locations.
• Mentor and develop engineers within your team, promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ experience in electrical building services consultancy.
• Demonstrated experience delivering detailed electrical designs through all project stages.
• Expert user of Amtech and Relux/Dialux; BIM/Revit experience an advantage.
• Chartered Engineer desirable (or working towards Chartership).

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Deep knowledge of:

  • Small power & data
  • Fire alarms, CCTV & intruder alarms
  • MV/LV distribution
  • Containment & BMS
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent planning skills.
• Strong understanding of MEP integration and multidisciplinary coordination.
• High attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to lead teams, make confident technical decisions, and maintain positive client relationships.
