Senior Electrical Engineer

ProSource Group is liaising with a close client in seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Cork office. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering and project management services to multinational clients across the Pharmaceutical, MedTech, Food, Industrial, and Commercial sectors — with the capability to manage projects up to €50 million in value.
This is an opportunity to take a lead role in complex, multi-disciplinary projects across all stages — from concept through to handover — and be a key part of a collaborative, technically strong team.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and delivering electrical design and project execution, contributing to the successful delivery of high-value engineering solutions. You will also lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, contributing to their development while ensuring high technical standards are maintained throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers on a variety of projects
• Deliver electrical engineering designs and documentation for complex building systems
• Engage in all project phases, including feasibility studies, design, tendering, construction, and handover
• Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, electrical standards, and best practices
• Support the preparation of contract documentation and participate in project management tasks
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines
• Ensure adherence to internal Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015)
• Prioritise health & safety in all design and project execution activities
• Deliver accurate, detailed work to strict project deadlines

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Chartered status preferred (or actively working toward chartership)
• 7–10 years post-degree experience in electrical design
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and project sequencing
• Skilled in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Experience with contract documentation and project delivery frameworks
• Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative attitude
