Senior Electrical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy delivering M&E design projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, conservation, and public sectors. The successful candidate will lead electrical design activities, support project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high technical and client service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Develop innovative, practical and cost-effective electrical engineering solutions for a diverse range of commercial, residential, healthcare, education and industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports in accordance with Irish regulations and industry standards.
• Carry out site surveys, inspections and technical assessments of existing electrical installations.
• Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the continued growth of the electrical design team.
• Design and coordinate key electrical building services systems, including:
  • LV power distribution
  • Lighting and emergency lighting
  • Small power installations
  • Mechanical services wiring
  • Fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Earthing and lightning protection systems

Requirements
Essential

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience delivering electrical design solutions across a range of project sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Irish regulations, industry standards, and IS10101 requirements.
• Proven ability to mentor and support junior engineers while coordinating project teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging directly with clients.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software and BIM-enabled project environments.
