Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Data Centres)

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Data Centres) on behalf of a leading international consultancy. This role will be based in their Dublin office (City Centre).

The Opportunity:

As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll take an active role in the delivery of high-profile Data Centre projects, collaborating with other engineers, architects, and designers to deliver technically robust and energy-efficient electrical solutions.
You’ll contribute to a zero-carbon design mission, with the full support of professional development programmes (including CIBSE and IET pathways) to help you work toward or maintain chartership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver detailed electrical design across lighting, power, and distribution systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to develop project solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys, and lead design reviews.
• Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and coordination across design stages.
• Support junior engineers and engage with clients and stakeholders.

About You:

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
• Relevant consultancy experience in electrical building services design
• Strong understanding of low-energy design and electrical system coordination.
• Proficient in design tools such as Amtech and ideally Dialux.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• A passion for sustainability, intuitive design, and innovation.
• Chartership (or working toward it) through IET, CIBSE or equivalent is a plus.
