Senior Electrical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy delivering M&E design projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, conservation, and public sectors. The successful candidate will lead electrical design activities, support project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high technical and client service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design projects and provide technical expertise throughout project delivery.
• Develop detailed electrical designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Manage and oversee the full electrical design process from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical and wider project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with architects, project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues while optimising designs for efficiency and performance.
• Support the development of innovative and practical electrical design solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the design team.

Skills / Training / Competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant electrical design experience, with a proven track record across increasingly complex projects.
• Proficient in industry-standard electrical design and analysis software.
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to manage multiple project requirements and priorities.
• Based in Ireland.
• Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond effectively to changing project requirements and priorities.
