Key Responsibilities - Support the Design Manager in mentoring, guiding, and developing members of the design team.
- Lead assigned projects and engineering staff, ensuring coordinated, high-quality technical delivery.
- Develop, review, and approve design documentation, drawings, and technical details.
- Ensure all design outputs consider safety, environmental impact, constructability, and commercial efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and project management.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives and expectations are met.
- Review and contribute to design programmes, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Undertake site visits and technical assessments to support and validate design work.
- Identify opportunities for innovative and sustainable design solutions.
- Support business development activities and contribute to ongoing company growth.
Skills & Experience - 5+ years design engineering role within the civils/utilities industry.
- At least 2 years experience involved with water/waste water projects.
- Proven experience leading teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and develop effective design solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of professional motivation.
