Senior Civil Engineer - North-East

*Salary: €60,000 - €80,000*

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established multidisciplinary design consultancy, for a Senior Civil Engineer to join its team.
  
This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team providing architectural, civil and structural engineering services under one roof. The successful candidate will lead the engineering delivery of residential and commercial developments from initial design and planning through to construction, certification and completion.

The consultancy works across the Northeast on projects ranging from one-off residential extensions to major housing developments of up to 150 units, alongside retail, hotel and other commercial schemes. The role would suit a technically strong engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining close involvement during construction.
  
Role

• Lead civil engineering projects from planning and design through to construction, certification and completion.
• Design roads, drainage, utilities, site levels and associated development infrastructure.
• Manage engineering resources, project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, local authorities and internal architectural and structural teams.
• Review calculations and drawings, ensuring designs are accurate, coordinated and buildable.
• Attend site meetings and inspections, manage technical queries and undertake the Assigned Certifier role where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering with approximately 7+ years’ relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer or currently working towards chartership.
• Strong experience delivering residential and commercial projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Excellent knowledge of roads, drainage, BCAR, Irish Building Regulations and construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Causeway Flow; PDS, Civil 3D or Revit is advantageous.
• Proven project leadership, client-management and junior staff mentoring experience.
