Senior CAD Technician (M&E) - Waterford

ProSource are recruiting a Senior CAD Technician (M&E) to be based in Waterford on behalf of one of a reputable M&E consultancy. This is a great opportunity to work on some large, long-term turnkey projects and to develop your career further.
  
Role
As Senior M&E CAD Technician, you’ll produce detailed technical drawings, coordinate M&E designs, and support engineers in delivering accurate, efficient, and high-quality documentation. You’ll also have the chance to mentor junior technicians and play a key role in developing CAD/BIM standards within the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed M&E CAD drawings and layouts for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Prepare and manage drawing registers, ensuring document accuracy and version control.
• Work with AutoCAD and Revit to deliver project outputs to BIM standards.
• Support the preparation of technical submittals, schedules, and handover documentation.
• Attend coordination meetings with design teams and contractors as required.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior CAD technicians.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a CAD Technician in M&E/Building Services.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience highly desirable).
• Excellent technical drawing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience producing coordinated mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
• Experience working on Irish projects preferred.
