Senior BIM Technician - Waterford

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural / Structural BIM Technician to join its Waterford office. This role offers the opportunity to lead BIM delivery on high-profile projects across pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial, and healthcare sectors, working with major clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit
• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, including clash detection and spatial coordination
• Lead BIM delivery and represent projects at coordination meetings
• Implement BIM standards in line with I.S. EN ISO 19650
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on large-scale projects
• Mentor junior BIM/Revit technicians
• Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Experience producing high-quality renders (lighting, materials, outputs)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and building standards
• Experience with Common Data Environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Irish/UK project experience desirable
