Senior Associate

My client is a leading accountancy practice with several offices across Leinster. They are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team as a Senior Associate, initially based in Trim before relocating to their new Navan office. You will report directly to the firm’s Partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accounts preparation of audit exempt companies and sole traders and review of similar work carried out by junior staff.
• Completion of tax returns for clients including CT, PAYE, VAT and RCT returns.
• Management accounts preparation for clients.
• Undertaking audit work using My Working Papers.
• Supervisory responsibility for junior staff where necessary.
• Assisting on training of junior staff.
• Maintaining your own technical skills up to date and attending courses as deemed appropriate – the firm has a comprehensive CPD system.
• Developing a good working relationship with clients and identifying cross selling opportunities.

You will have the following Qualifications & experiences:

• Qualified or part qualified ACCA/ACA or Qualified experienced Accounting Technician.
• Recent and relevant general Irish practice experience of at least 2 years.
• Working knowledge of the following packages would be an advantage, Bright Accounts Production, Bright Books & DEXT, Bright Manager, Xero and HubDoc.
• Audit experience desirable
• Good IT skills, especially Word & Excel.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team yet also work using own initiative when required.
• Ability to work to deadlines is crucial.
• Ambition and a desire to progress career essential.
