Senior Accountant (Future Partner)

A long-established accountancy practice in West Cork is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their firm with a clear pathway to Partnership in the short term. This is a rare opportunity for a qualified professional seeking long-term progression and involvement in practice leadership.

What the Role Involves:

• Managing your own portfolio of SME and personal clients
• Providing taxation, financial and business advice across a broad client base
• Working autonomously and taking full responsibility for client relationships
• Delegating work to junior staff and assisting with training and development
• Engaging with partners and staff on practice management and growth
• Advising clients on accounting/financial software systems

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) — tax qualification highly desirable
• Several years post-qualification experience in a small/medium practice
• Confident managing a full client portfolio independently
• Comfortable working in a rural practice environment
• Strong tax knowledge and advisory ability
• Ability to work on own initiative and contribute to practice development

Progression Path:

The successful candidate will join as an employee initially and, if suitable, will be offered progression to Partner after a relatively short period.
