Resident Engineer - South-East

*Salary: €65,000+*

ProSource are looking for a resident engineer on behalf of our client to oversee a civil and environmental infrastructure project in the South-East.

In this role, you'll act as the key liaison between the Contractor, Employer’s Representative, and Design Teams — ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to spec. You’ll oversee site progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the highest levels of compliance, documentation, and technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day civil and structural construction activities on-site
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and contractual obligations
• Collaborate with the Employer’s Representative, Design Teams, and authorities as needed
• Monitor works progress, inspect construction quality, and maintain accurate site records
• Review contractor proposals and method statements for engineering compliance
• Prepare progress reports and maintain a detailed site diary
• Support safety compliance under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising large infrastructure or civil engineering works
• Previous experience on bridge projects or similar complex structures
• Familiarity with construction contracts and supporting contract administration
• Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant construction safety training
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills
• Problem-solving ability with a keen eye for detail
• Comfortable using IT and construction management software
