Registered Architect / Assigned Certifier - Fully Remote Residential Developments | Design, Planning & BCAR ComplianceMidlands | €75,000+
An established residential development company is seeking an experienced Registered Architect to join its growing team.
This is a senior role for an architect with strong Irish residential, planning and BCAR experience. You will lead and coordinate projects from early design and planning through detailed technical delivery, construction support and completion certification.
Remote working is available, with site visits required when appropriate for the project.
The role - Prepare and coordinate designs for large-scale residential schemes, including housing developments, duplexes, apartments and mixed-use projects.
- Produce planning, tender, construction and detailed technical drawing packages.
- Develop site layouts, house types, streetscapes and boundary treatments in line with planning policy and local authority requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with Irish Building Regulations, including Parts A–M.
- Act as Assigned Certifier under BCAR, including preparing inspection plans, undertaking inspections and maintaining compliance records.
- Coordinate Commencement Notices and Certificates of Compliance on Completion.
- Review ancillary certificates, CE documentation, Declarations of Performance and specialist technical submissions.
- Coordinate with structural and civil engineers, fire consultants, BER assessors, specialist consultants, utility providers and site teams.
- Review subcontractor and supplier details, resolve technical issues and ensure drawing coordination across disciplines.
- Monitor workmanship and compliance on site, identify non-conforming work and support corrective actions.
- Assist with handover, completion and final certification procedures.
About you - RIAI Registered Architect with 3–5+ years’ post-registration experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, planning procedures and BCAR requirements.
- Previous experience as a Design Architect, Project Architect and/or Assigned Certifier on residential projects.
- Proven ability to deliver projects through planning, detailed design, construction and completion.
- Excellent technical detailing skills and a strong understanding of Irish residential construction methods.
- Experience with large-scale housing and apartment developments.
- Familiarity with timber frame, masonry and modern construction systems.
- Highly organised, technically capable and confident coordinating multiple consultants and stakeholders.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows.
Salary: €75,000+ depending on experience.
