They are seeking a proactive Regional Technical Leader to support their London and Dublin offices. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives on working closely with project teams across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will act as both mentor and technical strategist, ensuring that ambitious design is delivered with rigor, quality, and compliance.

The Role As Regional Technical Leader, you will oversee technical delivery across projects, embedding compliance, quality, and safety throughout the design process. While providing strategic oversight, you will remain hands-on in guiding teams through complex construction challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with studio and project leaders to resolve technical challenges in real time and support seamless client delivery
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Provide expert guidance on building regulations, including CDM, BCAR, BSA, and PSDP requirements
• Oversee specification writing and ensure full code compliance
• Lead technical and safety reviews across all project phases, maintaining adherence to H&S, Quality, Environmental, and BIM Information Management standards
• Manage the delivery of Principal Designer, Assigned Designer, and Assigned Certifier roles across regional projects
• Champion innovation in construction technology and sustainable design to maintain industry leadership

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Accredited degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology
• Chartered Architect (RIBA/RIAI) or Chartered Architectural Technologist (ideally CIAT)
• CSCS, PSDP, IOSH or similar qualifications advantageous

Experience

• 15+ years in architectural practice with a strong technical, regulatory, and quality focus
• Proven technical leadership on large, complex projects (experience in Aviation, Data Centres, Residential, or Commercial sectors preferred)
• Project delivery experience in the UK and/or Ireland; broader European experience beneficial
• Experience across a range of procurement routes
• Strong expertise in H&S and CDM/BSA compliance

Technical Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of UK and Irish building regulations and architectural building systems
• Strong specification writing skills (ideally NBS Chorus)
• Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO19650 and associated compliance processes
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM
• Familiarity with LEED, WELL, and BREEAM frameworks
• Strong understanding of constructability and how design translates to built outcomes
