A rapidly growing structural steel contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Meath. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and continued expansion across the Irish construction market, the company offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS looking to build a long-term career.

This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor looking to broaden their experience within the structural steel sector. While previous structural steel experience would be a distinct advantage, candidates from a general contractor background will also be considered. The successful candidate will join a supportive team with a clear progression pathway as the business continues to grow.

Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial aspects of structural steel projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and cost reports.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining strong commercial relationships.
• Monitor project costs and provide accurate forecasting.
• Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Support senior management with commercial reporting and project delivery.

Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Previous structural steel experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience within a main contractor, subcontractor, or specialist contractor environment will be considered.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational abilities.
• Ambitious individual seeking long-term career progression.

Package
• Salary: Approximately €65,000 DOE.
