Company Intro / Summary A well-established and reputable main contractor based in Waterford is currently seeking a talented
Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company has built a strong presence in the South East through a diverse portfolio of projects spanning residential, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. With a growing project pipeline and a solid reputation for delivering quality builds, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS to take the next step in their career with a stable, locally focused contractor.
Responsibilities - Oversee and manage all quantity surveying duties across multiple projects.
- Prepare accurate cost plans, tender documentation, and project budgets.
- Handle procurement and manage subcontractor packages.
- Track project costs, variations, and provide regular financial updates.
- Liaise with site teams and stakeholders to ensure commercial success.
- Contribute to value engineering exercises and risk management strategies.
- Prepare interim valuations and assist with final accounts.
Requirements - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor.
- Solid understanding of Irish building contracts and procurement processes.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
Package - €60,000 - €70,000 DOE
