Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
A progressive property developer based in Sligo is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company is currently delivering a large-scale development in the region, with further projects already in the pipeline, offering strong long-term stability and continued growth.
  
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS looking to step into a developer-side role, with direct involvement across all stages of the project lifecycle. It is particularly well suited to candidates seeking to return to the North West while maintaining exposure to substantial, high-quality developments.
  
Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets from feasibility through to completion.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor appointment, and cost control processes.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitor financial performance and provide regular commercial reporting.
• Liaise closely with design teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
• Provide cost advice during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Ensure strong commercial governance and financial control across projects.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 5+ years’ experience in a QS role.
• Experience with a main contractor, consultancy, or developer will be considered.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of full project lifecycles.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within a client-side environment.

Package

• €60,000 – €75,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Sligo.
