Company Intro / Summary A well-established residential developer is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Cork. With an exceptional pipeline of work secured for the next five years, the company continues to deliver large-scale residential developments across the region, with an average project value of approximately €60 million.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to join a highly regarded developer with a strong track record of delivery, a collaborative team environment, and a clearly defined progression pathway. The successful candidate will gain exposure to major residential schemes while benefiting from long-term career stability.
Responsibilities - Manage the commercial aspects of residential developments from pre-construction through to completion.
- Prepare and oversee project budgets, cost plans, and financial reporting.
- Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
- Prepare and assess valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and provide accurate forecasting.
- Work closely with project managers, consultants, and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Support senior commercial staff with project delivery and reporting.
Requirements - Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
- 5–7 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Experience within residential construction is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ambitious individual seeking long-term progression within a developer setting.
Package - €60,000 - €70,000 (DOE).
- Full-time, permanent position based in Cork.
