Quantity Surveyor

One of Ireland’s largest and most well-respected building contractors is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin. With a portfolio spanning landmark commercial, residential, healthcare, and civil projects, this contractor has built a reputation for delivering excellence at every stage of construction. Responsibilities

• Manage cost planning and commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Prepare budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
• Lead procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier engagement.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations while providing regular reporting.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, and site staff to ensure successful project delivery.
• Assist in dispute resolution and ensure compliance with contracts and company procedures.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the commercial team.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience in a QS role.
• Proven track record on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement methods.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software.
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress within a Tier One contractor.

• €60,000 - €70,000 DOE
