Company Intro / Summary
A well-established specialist contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Mayo. With a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland and Europe, the company offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS looking for a long-term regional role without the need to relocate.

The successful candidate will be based fully in Mayo and will gain exposure to a growing portfolio of projects within a specialist contracting environment. Previous contractor experience would be highly beneficial, with the role offering excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to develop alongside a growing business.

Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate commercial reporting.
• Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and senior management to ensure strong commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Previous experience working with a contractor would be highly beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract administration.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider commercial team.
• Ambitious individual seeking a long-term career within a growing business.

Package
• Salary: €70,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based fully in Mayo.
