Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
An established and growing main building contractor with a strong pipeline of residential developments in the Cork region is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Specialising in high-quality housing and apartment schemes, the company is known for delivering well-planned communities with a focus on quality, sustainability, and timely delivery. This is a great opportunity for a commercially aware QS to gain experience on-site and play a key role in the successful delivery of residential projects.
  
Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the financial aspects of residential construction projects from start to completion.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Support procurement of subcontractors and materials, including tender evaluations.
• Track project variations, valuations, and manage subcontractor accounts.
• Liaise closely with site teams to monitor progress and cost implications.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor on residential projects.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QS software tools.
• Motivated to develop within a supportive team and take on greater responsibilities.

Package

• €50,000 - €60,000 DOE
