Quantity Surveyor

A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Maynooth. The company is recognised as one of Ireland’s foremost civils contractors, delivering high-quality projects across roads, bridges, utilities, and public realm works. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven QS with 3–5 years’ experience to take the next step in their career within a reputable, well-established contractor.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of multiple civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost reports, valuations, and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement processes, tendering, and subcontractor management.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial and contractual compliance.
• Prepare monthly valuations and progress reports to maintain accurate cost control.
• Identify, value, and agree variations and claims as required.
• Support senior commercial management in forecasting, reporting, and project planning.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and best commercial practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally within a civils or infrastructure environment.
• Proven understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software tools.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.

Package

• Salary: €55,000 – €65,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Maynooth.
