Quantity Surveyor

A respected Project & Cost Management consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cork. This role sits within a well-established cost management function, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across both the public and private sectors.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of pre- and post-contract activities, as well as opportunities to work on specialist tasks such as technical due diligence. The company promotes continuous learning, professional growth, and a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost management and quantity surveying services across all project stages.
• Prepare pre-contract cost plans, bills of quantities.
• Provide post-contract commercial support including interim recommendations, valuations, and agreement of variation accounts.
• Carry out project reporting and maintain accurate cost documentation.
• Participate in technical due diligence on proposed developments where required.
• Work collaboratively within the team while also managing tasks independently.
• Attend site visits as needed.

Requirements

• Degree qualified (BSc or MSc) in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or equivalent.
• Chartered status is preferable, though candidates working toward chartership are welcome.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QS or cost management role.
• Experience in consulting or contracting environments is desirable.
• Strong numeracy, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of construction projects.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work within a team.

• €60,000 - €70,000 DOE
