Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
A well-renowned contractor based north of Cork City is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a long-term live project. The business operates across a range of construction works, with a strong emphasis on delivery, collaboration, and maintaining a healthy project pipeline.

This role would suit a QS with contracting experience who is keen to embed themselves on a project and play a key role in its commercial success. A civils background would be welcomed, though candidates from other construction disciplines will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day commercial support on a live construction project.
• Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, variations, and final accounts.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management.
• Monitor costs and ensure effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with site teams and project management to support delivery.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
• Assist with contractual correspondence where required.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a Quantity Surveyor role within a contracting environment.
• Civils experience is advantageous, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of cost control, valuations, and subcontractor management.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work from a Cork-based office and support a project-led role.

Package

• €50,000 – €60,000 DOE
• Office-based role north of Cork City.
• Long-term project appointment with consistent workload.
• Opportunity to work closely with senior commercial and site teams.
