A leading professional engineering services business is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. Responsibilities
  • Assist with all surveying, estimating, and purchasing duties on assigned projects.
  • Track project financials and support cost control throughout all stages of delivery.
  • Complete weekly measures to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Liaise with client representatives and address queries promptly.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving measures.
  • Analyse supplier and plant options to optimise value.
  • Update and maintain internal management systems.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements, including measures and final accounts.
  • Prepare quotations and support the commercial manager with reporting.
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally within the telecoms, utilities, or related infrastructure sectors.
  • Previous exposure to the mobile telecoms industry an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and cost controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues, clients, and management.
  • Process-driven with attention to detail and a "right first time" approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
