Company Intro / Summary
A well-established Irish civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Mullingar. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Ireland and currently has an exceptionally strong pipeline of secured work confirmed well into 2028, with further projects already on the horizon.
  
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of project sectors including civil engineering, infrastructure, telecommunications, and renewable energy — making this an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to broaden their experience while working within a stable and expanding organisation.
  
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and cost reports.
  • Support procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
  • Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure strong cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a QS role.
  • Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities projects is desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Motivated individual with a desire to progress within a growing company.
Package
  • €50,000 – €65,000 DOE.
  • Full-time, permanent position based in Mullingar.
  • Exceptionally strong project pipeline with work secured well into 2028.
