A respected and growing Project and Cost Management Consultancy in Cork is currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. With a strong presence across a range of sectors—including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education—this firm is known for delivering projects with precision, value, and client-focused service. This role is ideal for a QS looking to deepen their consultancy experience in a supportive and technically strong environment.
  
Responsibilities
  • Deliver full pre- and post-contract cost management services across multiple projects.
  • Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, bills of quantities, and value engineering proposals.
  • Oversee procurement processes and support tender analysis and contractor negotiations.
  • Conduct valuations, manage variations, and prepare interim and final accounts.
  • Work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide accurate cost advice throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain cost control systems and ensure reporting is timely and accurate.
  
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a consultancy or client-side QS role.
  • Proven ability to manage cost and contracts across multiple project types.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office tools.
  • Working towards chartership with SCSI/RICS (or already chartered) is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
