Quality Control Inspector

We are looking for a QC Inspector to join a growing team delivering large-scale renewable energy projects across Ireland. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining quality and compliance standards across all civil, mechanical, and electrical works.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and execution of inspection and test plans for on-site activities.
• Conduct detailed quality checks on electrical, mechanical, and civil installations, ensuring specifications and client standards are met.
• Prepare and update technical documents including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Review drawings such as single line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, schematics, and schedules, ensuring accuracy and constructability.
• Verify and approve detailed designs for HV, MV, and LV equipment as well as protection and control systems.
• Track site progress against programme targets, highlighting any quality or schedule risks.
• Support the creation of technical specifications and contract documentation for procurement and tendering.
• Liaise with internal engineering teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to address quality or design issues.

Requirements 

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in the electrical construction or renewable energy sector.
• Strong technical knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Clear communicator with good written and verbal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
